Put Pebbles on your iPad 🐾

Add it to the home screen once and it opens like a real app — its own kitten icon, full screen, no address bar, straight to this week’s lesson.

Setting up the iPad? Open this page on the iPad.

Copy or share the link below to the iPad, then follow the Safari steps. On a laptop or Android phone, Chrome and Edge can install Pebbles too: look for the install icon at the right end of the address bar, or open the browser menu → Install Pebbles (Android: Add to Home screen).

On the iPad, in Safari

About 30 seconds, once per iPad.

  1. 1

    Open the link in Safari

Type or paste sws.ministriesnear.me/pebbles into Safari’s address bar (or just open this page on the iPad).

  2. 2

    Tap Share

The square with the arrow at the top right, next to the address bar. On the newest iPadOS it can be tucked inside the menu.

  3. 3

    Tap “Add to Home Screen”

Scroll down the list if you don’t see it . If there’s an Open as Web App switch, leave it on.

  4. 4

    Tap Add

The name is already filled in — Pebbles. That’s it!

Ta-da!

The kitten is on your home screen

Tap it to open Pebbles full screen, right at the lesson list — no Safari bars, no sign-in. New lessons show up there on their own; there’s nothing to update.

Using Chrome on the iPad? Tap Share in the address bar, then Add to Home Screen. On a laptop or Android phone, Chrome and Edge show an Install button at the top of this page (or in the browser menu).

Good to know

Needs internet

The lesson videos play from YouTube, so join the church Wi-Fi before class.

Scores stay on that iPad

Team names and scores are saved on the device. The home-screen app keeps its own, separate from Safari — so run a class in one or the other, not both.

Hooking up the projector

Use a USB-C to HDMI adapter (older iPads: Apple’s Lightning Digital AV Adapter), or AirPlay: Control Center → Screen Mirroring → the Apple TV. Turn the iPad sideways.

Keep the screen awake

Pebbles asks the iPad not to dim, but for class it’s safest to set Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto-Lock → Never.
